Quality Improvement
The Plastomer Quality department includes technicians whose credits include areas of quality such as QS9000 compliance, TS, SPC, TQM, DOE, 8-D problem solving and Cost of Quality. The department's function is best described as consultants to both customers and Plastomer personnel.
We participate in the Plastomer AQP and process improvement teams and are responsible for giving expedient feedback to the customer.
Other functions of the Quality Department include procedure compliance monitoring, performing process capability studies, evaluating quality performance, and reporting information related to overall quality. This information is reported to all employees, including all levels of management.
